Google Adwords Pay Per Click Advertising
Are potential customers going to your competitors?
There are potential customers searching for your product / service right now on Google; if you’re not currently on the first page then that traffic is going to your competitors.
The question is, how do you effectively do this? Before I answer that question look at some quick statistics of Click through rates for positions on Googles Front page:
- If you are number one on Googles first page you can expect to get 21% of search traffic going to your website.
- If you are number two on the first page that drops to a 10.5% share of traffic.
- If you are number three you can expect just 7.5% of traffic clicking through.
- Product of service explainer videos.
- If you are number four then that drops further to 4.6%
If you are below position 4 it drops even further to between 1-2%. Can you see where I’m heading with this?
OK, who are in the first 3-4 positions on the front page of Google search? That’s right they are all Google Ads.
So what does this mean for your business?
It means that your business needs to be using Google Ads to get potential customers coming through to your website. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be trying to organically rank your business to get clicks but this should be done alongside an effective Google Adwords Campaign.
